Orlando Sentinel: ‘Roseanne’: No. 1 four weeks in a row

ABC’s revival of “Roseanne” has placed first in the weekly ratings for the fourth consecutive time.

If you’re wondering why it’s connecting, ABC will offer four episodes of the Roseanne Barr-John Goodman sitcom back to back at 8 p.m. Tuesday (today).

Johnny Galecki, star of “The Big Bang Theory,” reprised his role as David on “Roseanne” last week.

The week’s most-watched telecasts were:

1. “Roseanne,” ABC, 13.3 million viewers

2. “The Big Bang Theory,” CBS, 12.9 million

3. “Young Sheldon,” CBS, 11.7 million

4. “NCIS,” CBS, 11.4 million

5. “Bull,” CBS, 10.8 million

6. “The Voice” Monday, NBC, 9.4 million

7. “60 Minutes,” CBS, 9 million

8. “Mom,” CBS, 8.8 million

9. “NCIS: New Orleans,” CBS, 8.5 million

10. “The Voice” Wednesday, NBC, 8.4 million

“The Voice” Tuesday had nearly as many viewers as the Wednesday edition.

The prime-time averages in total viewers: CBS with 6.7 million, NBC with 4.8 million, ABC with 4.4 million, Fox with 3 million and The CW with 1.8 million.

In the 18-to-49 age group, CBS, NBC and ABC tied for the lead. Favorite programs of that age group were “Roseanne,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Young Sheldon” and a tie between “The Voice” Monday and Fox’s “Empire.” They were followed by “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC, “Survivor” on CBS and three singing contests in a tie: “The Voice” Tuesday, “The Voice” Wednesday and “American Idol” Sunday.
