Continuing to look at this problem in the world as if it were religious or militaristic is a right wing way of keeping everyone in their place.
It is merely a problem of Labor and nothing else...the palestinians need the jobs in israel and israel needs the workers. bottom line, without bullshit rhetoric.
The Israelis are like the jews in beverly hills who cannot exist without their immigrant workers either. Unionism and not political parties will save this whole world. workers unite! I said Israel will attack any boat carrying doctors and medical supplies--they have turned away the red cross already and all medical and food assistance. Israel is a NAZI state. The Dignity, a Free Gaza boat on a mission of mercy to besieged Gaza, is being attacked by the Israeli Navy in international waters. The Dignity has been surrounded by at least half-a-dozen Israeli warships. They are firing live ammunition around the Dignity, and one of the warships has rammed the civilian craft causing an unknown amount of damage. Contrary to international maritime law, the Israelis are actively preventing the Dignity from approaching Gaza or finding safe haven in either Egypt or Lebanon. Instead, the Israeli navy is demanding that the Dignity return to Cyprus - despite the fact that the ship does not carry enough fuel to do so. Fortunately, no one aboard the ship has yet been seriously injured.

There are 15 civilian passengers representing 11 different countries (see below for a complete list). At approximately 5am (UST), well out in international waters, Israeli warships began surrounding the Dignity, threatening the ship. At 6:45am (UST) we were able to establish brief contact with the crew and were told that the ship had been rammed by the Israeli Navy in international waters, and that the Israelis were preventing the ship from finding safe harbor. We heard heavy gunfire in the background before all contact was lost with the Dignity.

Israel should use some of the us money it takes in to set up schools and hospitals in gaza and actually pay people to turn in violent street gangs. They could give people ten thousand dollars each per month to police their own neighborhoods and clear them of weapons and violent offenders, and still have millions left over!

BEIRUT, Lebanon – Crowds of thousands swept into the streets of cities around the Middle East on Sunday to denounce Israel's air assault on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
From Lebanon to Iran, Israel's adversaries used the weekend assault to marshal crowds into the streets for noisy demonstrations. And among regional allies there was also discontent: The prime minister of Turkey, one of the few Muslim countries to have relations with Israel, called the air assault a "crime against humanity."
Several of Sunday's protests turned violent. A crowd of anti-Israel protesters in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul became a target for a suicide bomber on a bicycle.
In Lebanon, police fired tear gas to stop dozens of demonstrators from reaching the Egyptian Embassy. Some in the crowd hurled stones at the embassy compound. It was unclear if anyone was hurt.
Egypt, which has served as a mediator between Israel and the Palestinians as well as between Hamas and its rival Fatah, has been criticized for joining Israel in closing its borders with Gaza. Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit called on Hamas to renew its truce with Israel: "There has been a calm and we should work to restore it."
France also called for the truce to be renewed and rallied European nations to use "all their weight" to stop the fighting between Israel and Hamas.
"We have entered a new spiral of despair," French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner told the Journal du Dimanche in an interview published Sunday. "The truce must be restored."
Kouchner noted that the attacks come "in a context of vacancy of power in Israel and the U.S." as both countries are undergoing leadership transitions.
"Europe has a role to play," Kouchner said.
In Beirut, Hamas representative Osama Hamdan told the crowd that the militant group had no choice but to fight. Gaza militants have been lobbing dozens of rockets and mortars into southern Israel since a six-month truce expired over a week ago, prompting Israel's fierce retaliation.
"We have one alternative which is to be steadfast and resist and then we will be victorious," Hamdan said.
In the capital of neighboring Syria, more than 5,000 people marched toward the central Youssef al-Azmeh square, where they burned an Israeli and an American flag.
One demonstrator carried a banner reading, "The aggression against Gaza is an aggression against the whole Arab nation."
"Down with America, the mother of terrorism," read another.
In Amman, Jordan, about 5,000 lawyers marched toward parliament to demand the Israeli ambassador's expulsion and the closure of the embassy. "No for peace, yes to the rifle," they chanted.
In Jordan's squalid Baqaa camp for Palestinian refugees and their descendants, protester Yassin Abu Taha, 32, blamed America and Israel for the Middle East's problems.
"The Israelis kill our people in Gaza and the West Bank. The Americans kill our people in Iraq. We're refugees, kicked out of our home in Tulkarem in 1967 and we're still displaced," he said, bemoaning his family's flight in the 1967 Mideast war.
The U.S. Embassy in Jordan warned Americans to avoid areas of demonstrations.
Thousands of Egyptians — many of them students — demonstrated at campuses in Cairo, Alexandria and elsewhere and accused President Hosni Mubarak and other Arab leaders of not doing enough to support the Palestinians.
Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has said Israel should be "wiped off the map," denounced the Israeli strikes.
And in the normally politically placid streets of glitzy Dubai, hundreds of demonstrators — some draped in Palestinian flags — gathered at the Palestinian consulate.
"This is a time for the Palestinians and Arabs to unite to fight against a common enemy," said Majdei Mansour, a 30-year-old Palestinian resident of Dubai. Mansour said he has been unable to contact his family in Gaza since the latest fighting.
In Iraq, where the government has also condemned the Gaza airstrikes, a suicide bomber on a bicycle blew himself up amid a crowd of about 1,300 demonstrators in Mosul who were protesting against Israel, killing one demonstrator and wounding 16, Iraqi police said.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack on the demonstration, which was organized by a Sunni party in sympathy for Palestinians in Gaza, who are largely fellow Sunnis.

BBC journalist and Gaza resident Hamada Abu Qammar describes the impact of the current wave of Israeli airstrikes against Hamas targets.

Hospitals have been struggling to cope with the injured
The streets of Gaza are deserted, apart from a few cars taking urgent cases to hospital and families screaming and shouting as they take bodies to the cemetery to be buried.
This morning I visited Shifa Hospital, the main one in Gaza.
I spoke to one man, a civilian, and also a 14-year-old boy who were injured in an airstrike on a police station in the east of Gaza City this morning.
The man said he had been going to work in a clinic when he heard the sound of planes and turned back. But after that he cannot remember what happened - he just woke up injured, with wounds in his hand, leg and stomach.
The teenage boy had blood on his head and was in a lot of pain. He could not even remember his own name. "I don't even know where I am," he said to me.
I saw a body too, in the emergency room, with a stick of wood stuck through the chest.
Yesterday I also went into the hospital; the morgue was full and bodies were left in the streets. Parents were scouring the hospital for their children.
I followed one woman who was screaming "my son, my son" as she searched the building.
Eventually they located him, a young man was in his twenties. The staff would not let her see the body, but I saw it. It didn't have a head and there was no stomach. She fainted on top of the remains of her son, which were covered with a white sheet.
The relatives in the hospital scream and scream. They don't have words to express their feelings, they just say "God help us", over and over.
'Sitting and waiting'
I have seen several Israeli airstrikes this morning - one on a Hamas police post on the coastal road, another on a house about 200m from the BBC office. Smoke pours into the sky. The largest so far today was on the Hamas security headquarters, which is also near to our office, a few hundred metres away.
I was watching it from the window. There were three very loud bangs and a power cut. I could hear women screaming in their houses, and gunshots from Hamas men surrounding the area to keep people way.
The compound was in a big residential area, with lots of high buildings and apartments. Some of the homes are only about 5m from the site - and of course those buildings were damaged, with windows shattered and falling to the ground.
Electricity comes and goes as usual. Most shops are closed. There is a lack of everything - the UN relief agency UNRWA has not been able to deliver food aid for about 750,000 people.
There are shortages of anaesthetic gas, medical supplies, flour and milk - but many of the people I have spoken to say they don't feel like eating while this is going on.
Families are just sitting in their homes. I spoke to one of my neighbours, Iman, a 14-year-old-girl. She was so scared she could barely speak.
"I don't know where to go. I don't know where is a safe place to stay. We don't know when they will strike again," she said.
Israel is not currently permitting international journalists to cross into Gaza

A Sincere Suggestion/Solution (from Johnny)

I really think we're avoiding what should be recognized as at least one sure, compassionate answer to all our problems, eventually: mandatory vasectomies for all males above the age of nine and all others upon reaching that age. Let's face it: Human Life, while providing good fun at least part of the time for at least some part of the Planet's population, really is proving to be a pretty weak proposition. By gently but firmly pulling the trigger on a humane course of action that would finally eliminate every problem that Humanity has ever faced or caused, we'd really be taking our fate into our own hands while making the world a lot safer for whatever other forms of life that we don't destroy between now and the time the last blithering idiot of a clueless biped goes Nitey-nite for the last time. Before you dismiss this as the ranting of an extremist misanthrope, just think about it...

Speaking of Patriarchy: Bye-bye Patriarchy, and with it: an end to marriage and divorce and being single, racial prejudice, violent religious differences, cruelty to children and animals and everything else that is the victimized by human beings, boring, mind-numbing work, dieting and starvation, addiction, Economic injustice, war, disease, politicians, Britney Spears, taxes, loneliness, worry, mental illness, prudery, pornography, pollution, Conservatives, Liberals, money problems, hatred, drunk-driving, jive secondhand "spirituality," sadness, and death.

I took son Buck to the premiere of the movie Defiance, because it included having dinner with and meeting Daniel Craig, upon whom I have a post menopausal crush, and while in line getting ready to give my name and get my seat assignment, I turned and saw Jon Voight standing right next to me. He did not see me, thankfully, but I turned and said, "Buck, we are leaving, come on." "Why?" he demanded to know immediately. "Just shut your mouth and come on, I will tell you when we get back to the car."

Getting into the car I said: "Because i called him a used tampon that should be flushed down the toilet." "God, mom! Why did you say that?" he inquired. "Because I am an idiot with a big mouth that gets me into trouble all the time." I stated. "Why did you say it though, what did he do?" Buck asked me, and I said " Well, he supports Chabad who support settlements on Palestinian's land in the middle east and that makes more terrorism, and plus he said Obama was a terrorist and not a good man."
"Well, you were right to say it then, I think, mom, somebody should say something about all that." "Yes, I think so too, i said, but maybe i shouldn't have said the tampon part of it, although that IS the only way anything I say gets in the news anymore"

We decided instead to go see four christmases, and laughed when we saw Jon Voight was in it. That movie is just so well written and funny, we loved it. I tried to get Buck to go out to Pink's afterward for a hotdog, but he said we should eat healthy instead, so we went home and had a crummy salad.

I got invited to benjamin button's premiere, but thought I would run into pitt-jolie (I called her a poser and an imbecile for saying she liked Mccain and Obama both) so I just stayed home.

Having a big mouth is a drag, but I guess I will keep doing it. Everything else is just a big fat bore. I also hate chuck norris' stupid and illinformed comments on the human events website. God, get off the viagra, chuck, it is making you nuts!

I hated that the enquirer said America hates Rosie Odonnell and that is why she had the low ratings for her variety show. I read some comments on a shitty NBC blog regarding Rosie's show and one of them said: "she is a blowhard, I stopped watching her sitcom except for John Goodman." LOL

Any woman with an opposing opinion is ridiculed here in the land of the free, home of the brave.

Johnny said people just think I am mental, and let it go at that. I just signed up to write a funny book. I will be telling all the true stories previously withheld, about my affairs with shwartznegger and george clooney, and johnny depp.

The Gaza Strip is now the largest concentration camp in the world. The situation grows steadily more insufferable for the 1.5 million Palestinians who live there.

Deliveries of food, medicine and fuel are made difficult or stopped altogether. Child malnutrition is increasing. Water supplies and drainage have ceased to function.
