of the vote is all it will take to put the green party on the map. The green party is the only hope for america's future, I think. Five percent means the green party qualifies as a legitimate third party. It's platform is far more to the liking of working people than is the democratic party, and it has clout all over the world, unlike any other american party. It also is based on taking care of the environment before making profit, and also based on justice rather than nationalism. GO GREEN! Cynthia Mckinney for President!!! I would like to see the five percent come from people who are not going to vote dem or rep, because they have lost all faith and hope in politics, who know that neither party addresses anything that seems relevant to real life at all. I hope the five percent doesn't come from the dems...they all need to vote for barack and try to get him elected...it's very close, which is unbelievable! But still, there are many of us who want a deeper change than either party can ever offer. We want a fundamental change and not a cosmetic one. We want a change in the way business is done in the world. We want a rehaul of this entire system from top to bottom based on democratic principles and not on corporate ones. We want a maximum wage, and no income tax. We want increased inheritance and profit taxes instead.

Because of the work our collective did at "woman to woman bookcentre" in denver,1983... the book was re-printed. We simply called the publishers and ordered two hundred copies. I bought several of them to give my grandchildren. This book must be read. It includes so much about american polygymy and women's free labor, it is more relevant now than ever before... net search it and look it up baby!!!!

stuffed greeky red peppers by a reader tristan:

Red peppers. What can be said about red peppers? They are super-tasty, they have more vitamin C than an orange, contain vitamin A and folic acid. Also, did I mention they are delicious?

Piperies Gemistes (Stuffed Peppers)

2 lbs. lean ground beef
12 red peppers, washed, tops cut and inside cored
2 medium onions, diced
1/3 cup olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 cup of fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 cup of fresh dill, finely chopped
2 tsp. fresh mint, finely chopped
1 cup of good tomato sauce (pomodoro)
1/4 cup arborio rice
salt and pepper to taste

1. Wash then cut the tops off your peppers. Hollow out the peppers to rid them of any ribs or seeds. Reserve
2. Place a large skillet on your stove and heat under medium high heat. Pour in your olive oil then add the onions and garlic and lower to medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes to soften the onions.
3. Add your parsley, dill, mint and and tomato sauce and simmer until most of the liquid is gone and you have a thick mixture. Take off the heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
4. Add your rice and ground beef to the onion/herb mixture and and mix all the ingredients using a wooden spoon. Add 2 tsp. of salt and pepper and mix. To taste for seasoning, take a spoonful of the mixture and fry it or cook it in the microwave to taste for seasoning. Afterwards, adjust the seasoning in the mixture to your liking.
5. Using a spoon, stuff your peppers and line the bottom of a roasting pot. Pour 1 cup of water over the peppers and place them in a preheated 375F oven for 1 hour.

I have no money to buy my child school clothes or even a new outfit for next week. She's entering 5th grade. It's been a non stop hell ride every week of do we eat or do I put gas in my car to get back and forth to work. I hate this government right now! And my right shoulder has tendonitis for the last four months and it's freaken painful!
I just want a break! I haven't had one in a long long time! I've visited foreclosure's door now 3x and it is not pretty. When do us lower class hard working people get a break?

Roseanne, I used to like your show and think you were funny. However, I was disgusted by your vicious attack on Angelina Jolie. Not only were your accusations wrong but they were insulting and vicious.

I am not in show business, but I have followed the Jolie-Pitts in the news and just this year I have read about their foundation giving at least $9 million dollars to charity plus the $14 million from their baby pics all went to charity. Now in anybodies book, that $23 million dollars in one year is a respectable amount given from the heart. How much did you give for charity this year? How many dangerous foreign countries did you visit to try to help downtrodden women and children? I haven't seen you in any bullet proof vests in Iraq and Afghanistan lately. I've seen Angelina. Has Buck gone to New Orleans and designed green low cost homes for the poor, contributing more of his personal money to make the housing division a success?

Have you spoken before Congress with suggestions for the betterment of poor people all over the world?

Have you adopted multinational babies that would surely be dead right now if you hadn't taken them?

Just because The Jolie-Pitts have not come out on the side of either of the Presidential candidates you think you have a right to call them "Spawn of Satan"?

I know that anyone can get a blog and say whatever they want, but I think you have been judgemental, rude and most certainly jealous. If you were offered 40 million to make a movie about "shooting people" I'll bet that you'd jog there daily and carry a machine gun with the best of them. I completely enjoy their movies, can't wait to see "Wanted", violence and all. I love those kinds of movies and make no excuses for it. Angelina is an excellent adventure/action heroine. One of my favorites.

I hope you have the balls to publish this letter on your blog, and to apologise to the Jolie Pitts for your inaccurate reporting and needless smear campaign.

Hey, Everybody, here comes Peter Cottontail, again, signalling the approach of Crucifixation Season with its yummy chocolate eggs and its joyous, never-ending message of "Believe-It-Or-Else." And, don't forget Passover!

No disrespect intended (especially the kind that'll get me shot or beheaded), but why do we still call it the Judeo-Christian Tradition? I mean Jews think that Jesus was NOT the Messiah and Christians think Jews are blowing it, big time, for NOT accepting the Messiah. Oh, well, as long as business is good for everybody, why quibble over details like, say, the biggest mistake you could possibly make?

One thing that unites us all, though, is that Christian AND Jewish people want their venerable brand of Talibangelism respected, whether it's New Age Madonna-style or the good old-fashioned Jimmy Swaggert version. Okay - Fair enough! But, in that same spirit of fairness, how about equal respect for people who think that all Religion or whatever you want to call anything else that people swear is real and important but they can't prove...is...uhhh....uh......never mind. I can feel the "love" in the room, already.

Anyway, I decided not to join that crazy Gravity cult that almost had me convinced for awhile, there. Whew! That was close!

The main thing is, though: Happy Easter and Passover, everybody! You know the drill...

mccain's party is

the party that told everybody to let the "freemarkets" rule and everything would be alright. If we just took the inhibitors off of business we would all be rewarded. Big government was our enemy, and would make us lose jobs. Well, Mccain's party raped and looted every dime they saw, and now people are losing their homes, jobs, country, schools, hospitals, benefits, retirement, and civil rights. Mccain's party is the "let the rich have their way" party. This is where reaganomics took us. neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother, rich against poor...ARMAGEDDON. Again mccain's party will appeal to the lowest in people...their secret racism, their secret fear of women's reproductive rights, their fears of homosexuality, and devils and spooks from other religions. I hope it doesn't work this time. I hope this time the voting public cannot be turned against its own best interests. I hope that voters vote for community instead of consolidation of power. community is key.

I am the first blogger to blog about Obama's abortion vote and how it would become the october surprise...they have michelle obama on tape defending live birth abortion, and raising money for it too...(they called this "the whitey" tape, but its far better than just that kind of a boring thing...she is on tape defending sucking the brains out of babies who live through late term abortions). This is the greatest gift pelosi and dean can give to the republicans they work for. It took alot of doing in order to throw this election to the republicans after iraq, katrina, and the economy, but pelosi and dean found a way!
Oprah Winfrey always gets her republican friends elected!! She and she alone split the woman's vote, thereby destabilizing the entire party and fracturing it forever along racial and gender lines. It is estimated that her endorsement of Obama swung over one million women's votes from Hillary, who remains the only candidate who polls to win against mccain. Oprah can rest well now knowing that her dogs will not have to pay inheritance tax over the next four years if she dies. However, in 2012, when dean pelosi and the rest of the traitors are out of jobs, and Hillary again runs for president, wins, and changes inheritance taxes to cover health care costs, we will have a nice drink to the end of the Oprah Winfrey "pray to angels instead of protest injustice" method of female stinkthink.
My great hope is that the green party will have overrun the democratic party by that time, and made its entire platform green instead of corporate controlled. I am voting for cynthia mckinney for president.

bit my cuticle, its infected

must go to hospital to get it lanced. Must get drunk first. This happened to me twenty years ago also, and it was hell. Buck said he told me to stop biting my nails. I had to pay buck five dollars every time he caught me doing that, and yesterday he said: "Mom, i guess your giving up one thousand dollars to me taught you nothing!" I didn't realize that I had paid him that much money. I also paid five per swear word, and he made 3600.00 bucks on that. He had to pay me five for every argument, so that took it all down to about six hundred bucks in the end. now i have to get a needle stuck in my cuticle and get it drained. It sure hurts. Johnny said if i do not go I will need to hire someone with an aposable thumb to get my work done. damn, i wish i had not bit that damn thing man! Being obsessive compulsive is such a drag sometimes. I used to bite my nails up to eight solid hours a day until my dad would hit me across my head real hard to stop me. this nutty thing doesn't really go away all the way, it just moves its focus around. I am now obsessing on driveway gravel to plug up the holes in my roads and pathways up here in shangri-la. getting new atvs for the kids tomorrow.

today's meditation on letters ADN and I

My moment of truth in Hawaii: admitting finally that my view of the world and of my place in it is insane. I have attempted to adjust the insanity definition and make it broader my whole life, as I believe the definition of that word is the cause of everything bad. I do not feel that I am insane at all, and am resisting the definition of sanity because it seems itself insane to me. It makes no sense to me that people who have visions must hide for fear of being branded crazed or a witch. I knew from a very early age that I was crazed and a witch by patriarchal definition. I knew too however, because I was shown it by a being from another dimension who appeared to me and said: "You will talk about the (female) Shekkinah and her temple priestess and be a witness for he/she/ it. You are the only one in your world who is not crazy , and you will always need to reverse what is being said and then reverse it double. Here is the code you will use to stay sane in an insane world: You will see signs that tell you that you are right. If you do not see the sign immediately, then it is not a sign. Signs happen immediately and not outside the NOW. The sign that you are right will be: everyone thinks YOU are crazy. They will shake their heads roll their eyes, argue or ignore you, but they will always appear not to listen...the only ones who do listen will be the insane and the drunkard...then you will have reached the higher place, and that is the place where fame and money mean nothing to you...then and only then will you be able to plant the seed of the tree of life, and help to raise an army of the insane who will using their combined insanity, recreate reality as a place so insane that it will actually worship inner peace."

The only way to cure insanity is by paying homage to its' force field and then telling it about the FACT that it serves sanity not defeats it. How do we do that ? We gird ourselves with a shield called truth, which destroys resistance and we become brave enough to reconcile opposites! When you are using the laser of your mind to witness truth to darkness, you are removing yourself from hell and fulfilling your duty to humanity}.

When those who have no visions regard you as insane, you are assured that you have planted within their reality the seeds that grow completely protected in their dreamstate, and remain dormant there until the dreamer hears the magic word and awakens. The word is: "mind'seye". (adonai). the mind's eye is where all battles begin and end, and where the pharmaceutical-military industrial complex now targets as the new battleground....cyberspace on the net. what can be imaged will exist. the age of the graven image is upon us.

McCain - The Socialist Candidate. by Johnny

I'm not being cute with the Socialist tag. Has McCain ever had a job in the private sector? Repubs like to talk about their distaste for government but they sure cling to it for their paychecks and privileges, don't they?

Limbaugh and shameless shills like him love to badmouth "big, intrusive government programs" but is there anything more bloated than the Military budget? That's been the major meal ticket for generations in the McCain Family. And talk about Socialism! What's more "Socialized" than the benefits afforded Senators, for example? Or, the way they provide for the men and women in the Military who they send around the world to fight their battles: they get socialized housing, medical and dental care, retirement, survivors' benefits and on and on. I'm not bitching about it - I think that everybody should have the deal that politicians have and that they provide for those who fight wars for their private companies while we taxpayers foot the bill for it, and receive NONE of these benefits for ourselves.

They hate the word 'Socialist' and insist that government is ineffective when it comes to fixing things for working people who need help - but they sing a different tune when a gigantic Capitalist enterprise like Bear Stearns screws up and loses billions of dollars, taking worldwide confidence in our currency down with them. Suddenly, the guys who hate Welfare for poor, hungry people are ready to wheel out The Wall Street Socialism Machine and gush tons of taxpayer money to bail out these greedy jerks who sell bad mortgages...then sell them, again, to greedier jerks.

The Democrats suck, too, but nobody double-talks like a Republican. For example:
on another topic: can you believe they've accused Obama of playing "the Race card?" This is from the Party whose candidate sat atop the only State in the Union that rejected the Martin Luther King Holiday to the bitter end and who publicly calls people "Gooks" and doesn't apologize for it. Obama's the racist? Man, These pricks on the Right have balls the size of major planets!
