to be raised in a sephardic synagogue, congregation Montifiore, named after Utah’s jewish governor, who was a Sephard from Spain—spanish sailors spread Sephardic prayer books all over the world. To have been privileged to read those pages as a young girl, is a memory I will always cherish in my heart of hearts. G-d was talking to me directly in those prayer books, their beautiful words illuminated my soul then and now.
